The Prof. Dr. Thomaz Gollop Clinic provides services for Genetic Counseling, diagnosis and treatment in Fetal Medicine (serving couples with increased genetic risk) and Clinical Genetics. In addition to the supporting activities, several research lines are developed by post-graduate students from Universidade de São Paulo.

Scientific updating in Genetics has been a constant concern in our Clinic, and due to this purpose we are elaborating a project in the area of intra-uterine diagnosis for isolation of fetal cells from the maternal bloodstream.

In addition, we are also introducing  preimplantation genetic diagnosis (genetic analysis of embryos before being introduced in the mother’s womb). The Prof. Dr. Thomaz Gollop Clinic also receives cooperation from a multidisciplinary team made of expert professionals in the fields of: Fetal Medicine, Clinical Genetics and Ultrasonometry.
